- Following the official opening of the new William Hill Betting Shop in Coleham, Shrewsbury, Channel 4 racing pundit Derek Thompson gave Shrewsbury Town players a tip which William Hill put on as a charity £500 bet. The horse, Time Piece won with odds of 5/2. Together with a Shrewsbury Town shirt that raised money in a raffle, William Hill and Shrewsbury Town FC presented Hope House with �1806. Jake Robinson, Joss Labadie, Vanessa Lloyd (Hope House Fundraising Manager), Glyn Garner, Sandra Grier (William Hill Manageress), Carl Trask (William Hill District Development Manager) and Andreas Arestidou.
